Bible study, prayer and community outreach groups are an important part of West Point Presbyterian Church! Our goal is for every group to be discipleship focused and scripture driven, therefore empowering us through the Holy Spirit to be the "hands & feet" of Christ in our community...
Mid-Week Bible Study
Several times each year, West Point Presbyterian Church offers a 6-week Bible Study on Wednesday nights, that includes a Family Night Supper (catered meal).
These Bible studies have included such popular studies as "Radical" and "Follow Me" by David Platt... and Kyle Idleman's "Not a Fan" discipleship study. In the Fall of 2013, Dr. Barry Blackburn, Professor of New Testament at Point University led a study on 1 John, and during the Spring of 2014, Dr. Tony Dean led a study on the Book of Jonah. In May 2014, Rev. Jerry Ledbetter led us in a study of the New Testament Book of Titus, and in the Spring of 2016, we studied the "Pastoral Epistles." In the Fall of 2017, Rev. Ledbetter led a study called "The Bible Doesn't Say That!". In the Spring of 2018 our study was called "Neighbors" and remembered the life of Mr. (Rev.) Fred Rogers.
Our 2019 Spring Workshop was called "Invitation 101: Practical Ways to Reach Out" and was conducted with our friends from the First Baptist Church of West Point. Our 2019 Fall Workshop is "Presbyterians and Baptists: a Reformed Heritage."

Presbyterian Women, Cub Scouts, Men's Bible Study & more...
West Point Presbyterian Church has participated in Presbyterian Women's ministries since the late 1800's... including fellowship events and mission projects. The current Presbyterian Women's President is LaChelle Jones.
WPPC is also a proud supporter of the Cub Scouts. We've sponsored a den for years, and through this ministry, we've touched the lives of hundreds of young men! Kris Cagle and Edward Boggs are our Cub Scout church representatives.
A Men's Bible Study Group meets on Thursday evenings at 6:00 pm at Johnny's Pizza in Downtown, West Point. This group is composed of men from various churches and backgrounds, and new members are always welcomed.
Of course, these are just a few of the groups sponsored by WPPC!
For more information on any of these groups, call the church office at 706.443.2260.
